We can all make a difference

We are humbled by the need and the opportunity to help support the missions of these terrific organizations:

Sadly, there is a tremendous need for ChildSafe, a local nonprofit organization that provides counseling services to victims of child sexual abuse and their families, as well as adults who were victims as children. Without their work, it is likely that the cycle of abuse and dysfunction would remain unbroken in countless numbers of local families. We are thankful for the opportunity to provide our cleaning services weekly in their offices free of charge. The Food Bank For Larimer County is the type of safety net organization that helps define a community as they seek to assist those less fortunate in need of the most basic necessities. We are humbled to match the donations of our Employees dollar for dollar as we are all reminded of how good we have it compared to those who wonder about their next meal. Homes For Our Troops is a national non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization founded in 2004. They are strongly committed to helping those who have selflessly given to our country and have returned home with serious disabilities and injuries since September 11, 2001. They build and provide at no cost a new home that provides maximum freedom of movement and the ability to live more independently. Let It Shine was proud to donate cleaning services when the construction was completed for SSgt John Jones in Fort Collins so that he and his family could move into their new home. The Michael J. Fox Foundation is dedicated to finding a cure for Parkinson’s disease through an aggressively funded research agenda and to ensuring the development of improved therapies for those living with Parkinson’s today. Let It Shine has donated cleaning services and an authentic Italian dinner event as silent bid auction items and co-sponsored the 2011 annual fundraiser put on by Jim and Beth Murray each year in Fort Collins. kiwanisToys for Kids is a program developed by the Kiwanis Poudre Golden K of Fort Collins, Colorado. Their club uses the toys as a way to raise money that they in turn provide as financial support to organizations in our community that serve children. And at the same time, they give away a lot of special toys to underprivileged children—over 800 this year alone! Each toy is handmade entirely of wood by the members of their club. They offer 18 different toys ranging from stick horses and magic wands to helicopters, airplanes, cars, ducks, trucks, and busses. At Let It Shine, we are proud to support this wonderful cause, and encourage all of you to buy a toy in support of Toys for Kids!
